Frequently Asked Questions

Our buddies will help you with any hosting jobs required, serving drinks, making cocktails, basic cooking (pizzas etc for buffet food), making up sandwiches, laying out nibbles, collecting glasses, washing up, tidying up rubbish, putting up decorations, topping up a buffet, cutting the cake, or if there are any special requests, just ask! 

Buddies will arrive a few minutes before the start time requested. If you need help setting up the party please allow 30-60 minutes extra. Otherwise we just require a 5 minute chat to show us where everything is and any special requirements.

No we don't unfortunately, but we have some recommendations over on our supplier page.

This goes on guest number and duties required. As a general guide:

Up to 30 guests - 1 x Buddy

Up to 60 guests - 2 x Buddies

60-80 guests - 3 x Buddies

80+ - 4 x Buddies 

We will have a chat as to what you would like us to do and base the buddies on this too.

This is a hard one to judge as we find different crowds will drink different drinks however as a general guide the most popular drinks are:

VODKA

GIN

PINK GIN

BACARDI

JD 

SPICED RUM

1 x bottle of alcohol will make around 30/35 drinks

If you would like cocktails served we will send you recipe cards which will advise on how much to buy.

No, any hire equipment is at an additional cost and prices for these can be found under the Hire section. Our quote will be for the Buddies ONLY unless stated otherwise

So unless you have booked any hire equipment it is purely a service only, so you will have your Buddy/Buddies and when they arrive you will just need to go through the following:

-Bar/Serving area

-Spare drinks/Ice etc 

-Washing up facilities - cloths/tea towels/dustpan and brush

-Rubbish - would you like this recycled and where to put when full

-Chopping board/knife etc if things need preparing

-Any specific times you would like food out, toast drinks, cake cut etc

We understand it is difficult to tell when a party will end and if it comes to the end of their shift and you would like them to stay on longer please feel free to ask them! This will be at the buddies discretion and the additonal hours will need to be paid in cash to them on the night charged at an 'on the spot rate'. This will all be detailed out in our terms and conditions at the time of booking.
